Job Summary
The Advanced pharmacy traveling technician provides support to the Region Pharmacy Leader by assisting with multiple priorities within the region. The advanced pharmacy traveling technician will operate primarily as a technician and provide relief coverage as determined by the regional pharmacy leader. The advanced pharmacy technician is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid's brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.
Job Responsibilities

•Provide and lead customer service initiatives by engaging with customers while practicing Greet Engage Thank (GET) in a helpful, friendly, and supportive manner within regional store assignments.

•Maintain pharmacy inventory management through proper storage and handling, removing outdates, transferring products & inventory between locations, as well as assisting in the preparation for physical inventory.

•Assist with the training and development of technicians with proper inventory management

•Exemplify and adhere to workflow procedures to safely process and prepare prescription orders, and ensure they are ready when promised.

•Assist with off-site clinics and patient care events with setup and data collection.

•Maintain the Pharmacy department by keeping it clean, clutter free and organized.

•Must complete continuous learning, education credits and training required to maintain active license and certification as required by Rite Aid and or state and federal law.

qualifications

Education and/or Experience

•H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)   required. 

•1 year of experience in Pharmacy Technician in a pharmacy practice setting along with Completion of Rite Aid’s Workstation Training required.

• Customer service and problem solving skills required.

• Strong communication skills  required.

 

 

Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations

• Other, PLEASE LIST BY NAME Pharmacy Technician National Certification (CPhT or ExCPT) issued by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcare Association (NHA)  required

• Other, PLEASE LIST BY NAME Technician License/Registration (where applicable) - active and in good standing required

• Other, PLEASE LIST BY NAME Immunization certification in states that allow immunizations  preferred

• Other, PLEASE LIST BY NAME Must become a certified immunization technician if residing in a state that has formalized administration of vaccines by technicians if not already certified.  If not currently certified, must enroll in the next open enrollment period for immunization training offered by Rite Aid. required

The typical starting pay range for this position is between $15.70 - $23.85 per hour
