Pharmacist - Central Fill (M-F Closed-Door Pharmacy)
- Accurately fill and verify prescriptions; consult with store pharmacists regarding prescription orders; monitors storage, distribution, and use of pharmaceuticals.
- May provide functional supervision to ancillary staff in the pharmacy department, including training, assigning duties, and providing input for performance evaluations.
- Maintain records of all transactions of the pharmacy necessary to ensure accurate control over and accountability for all drugs as required by applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations; ensure legal operation of the pharmacy, including meeting all inspection and other requirements of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations governing pharmacy operations.
- Partner in the development innovation and execution of operational strategies to maintain pharmacy excellence for pharmacist and ancillary personnel.
- Prepares large font labels, Braille labels, and talking labels as requested by stores for patients with hearing or vision loss or impairment to stay compliant with ADA and other applicable laws, rules and regulations.
- Assists with the assignment of duties and scheduling of pharmacy staff to ensure payroll and productivity budget guidelines are met in conjunction with Pharmacy Technician Leads.
- Troubleshoots automated pharmacy equipment to ensure continuous workflow while providing a clean and professional environment that protects employee and customer safety.
- Document, report, and provide root cause analysis on dispensing errors, in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelines, to direct supervisor.
