Asset Protection Manager - Distribution Center

Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to develop and maintain a security program to safeguard  the distribution center’s personal, physical and intangible assets. Frequent independent judgments  are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and applicable laws.


The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:
-Develop and maintain continuous monitoring activities to minimize loss.
-Educate management and associates on effective security measures.
-Maintain appropriate staffing levels.
-Direct and train loss prevention staff on maintenance and utilization of CCTV system.
-Conduct and direct investigations in accordance with company standards.
-Develop procedures to implement, support and enforce policies.


This position directly supervises Lead Security Guards and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Rite Aid policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, directing, rewarding, and disciplining associates; appraising associate performance; and resolving complaints.

Experience / Requirements

The following qualities are required:
-Minimum age of 18 years old due to Education/Experience requirement.
-Ability to pass drug test.

-Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes.

-Proficiency with Microsoft® Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Internet
Explorer, and Outlook


Associate's degree (AA) in Management or a related field, plus five (5) years' experience working in supply chain or military/civilian logistics, and/or safety, management, or big box environment (large building/high employee count); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
