Manager Store Operations

Job Description


The primary purpose of this position is to effectively lead the store operations support team in improving store systems, processes and efficiencies, through research, investigation and collaboration.  Drive customer traffic through effective stores services programs, maximizing profit potential and ensuring a good customer and associate experience.   Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.


The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:


  •  Lead team in the execution of assigned operational projects and initiatives, including leading the creation,
    planning, development, change management, testing, piloting, roll-out and sustainment phases of the
    programs as well as manage 3 store managers through the DMIT
  •  Continuously identify store process improvement needs and opportunities to design and deploy effective
  •  Compose, format and deliver well written and comprehensive Store Operations communications to the stores
    and field. Includes research, collaboration with other functional areas and ensure accuracy and
    appropriateness of content
  •  Lead and and maximize profit potential of store revenue programs including lottery, money transfer/money
    order services, ATM's and postage stamps. Identify opportunities to expand revenue base with additional
    service programs in our stores, that are attractive to customers and easy to execute
  •  Monitor projects and programs after launch to ensure sustainability and make appropriate adjustments to
    ensure excellence in execution and change management
  •  Monitor, track and report on progress of team in achievement of business objectives, as well as associate
  •  Develop a training and communication plan for each project and process change. Coordinate training,
    communication and policy documents in conjunction with project launches
  •  Lead the cross-functional Clean Slate team, including coordinating the follow up work on various projects which
    result from the team meetings
  •  Discover, analyze and develop innovative strategies, systems and technology to continuously improve store


This position directly supervises Specialist, Store Operations, and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Rite Aid policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, directing, rewarding, and disciplining associates; appraising associate performance; and resolving complaints


Experience / Requirements

  • Rite Aid Store Leadership required


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Business required
